Frequently Asked Questions

What does the cost of the retreat include?
The cost of the retreat includes everything that you need including accomodation, all yoga, meditation and bushwalking, all food and drinks and return transport to Sydney Airport if required.

What does it not include?
It does not include any airfares or the cost of driving yourself to the venue.

What type of food is provided?
The food is cooked locally onsite and is vegetarian/vegan. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided, alongside delicious desserts. There is also tea, coffee and fruit available at all times.

What do I need to bring?
We highly recommend:

  • Comfy exercise clothes for walking and yoga, lounging around, learning and talking.

  • Runners for bushwalking and slippers for everything else.

  • Warm socks for the yoga and learning room.

  • Any snacks that you might like.

  • Personals like medications, iPad, book, toiletries.

  • Snacks for after hours.

There is access to tea, instant coffee and fruit after hours. If you like special things like coffee bags, you might like to bring them. Home made Chai is served daily.

What am I not allowed to bring?
Bodhi Nurse retreats are alcohol free events.

Will be be taking Psychedelics?
No. We will be learning about how they work in the brain and why they have therapeutic value for some mental health conditions.

Is this a trauma therapy retreat?
No, there will be no ‘trauma dumping’ sessions - this is a retreat where we will refresh and revisit how we look at things as nurses.

Do I have to do the activities?
No. All activities are catered to beginners and are optional. There are extensions offered should you want to extend your yoga practices. Alternatively, you are welcome to flow into your own practice extensions during session.

I’ve never done yoga before…
Neither had we before we started yoga! It is suitable for beginners and you are encouraged to work with your own body at your own pace. There are no competitions or winners here.

I cannot sit still for meditation…
That’s ok, because this is a pre bed, lying down with blankets on, mediation. An hour of cosy rest while you are warm under blankets and allowing your mind to travel. We encourage pj’s and bra’s are not required. We are confident you will sleep well after this!

I want to come with friends, is that possible?
Yes we have options for sharing that are cheaper including:

  • shared rooms (2-4 people) with ensuite

  • shared glamping tents (2-6 people)

I don’t like sharing and want to sleep on my own and have my own ensuite, can I do this?
There are private, ensuite rooms with Queen beds available. They are limited so we recommend reserving your spot early.

How will I get there?
If you live locally to the venue, you are welcome to drive and park your car at the venue.

Interstate: we will meet you at the airport and transport you to the venue. Likewise for departure, we will bus those travelling interstate back to the airport.

Do I need to bring my own yoga mat and props?
No, all yoga mats and props are provided. We encourage you to bring comfortable exercise clothes for wearing during yoga.

What payment options are available?
